Mary Cross never planned to become an author — but retirement opened a new calling. After decades of prayer ministry and spiritual mentoring, she felt led to create practical tools that help others grow closer to God.

Her first book, Pray Daily: A Practical Approach to a Powerful Prayer Life, guides readers through a six-week journey toward a consistent, heartfelt prayer habit.

Her latest novel, Rising from the Ruins, was inspired by a conversation with someone afraid of Christians — leading Mary to explore the gap between belief and behavior through the lens of grace, healing, and second chances.

Life and Ministry

Mary lives in Florida with her husband of 49 years. She has served on multiple prayer teams, often leading aloud in group settings, and continues to develop workbooks, journals, and devotionals to encourage others in their faith walk.

Purpose

Her writing always circles back to one purpose: to follow God’s leading and offer encouragement wherever she can.
